honey, travel yourself first. the world, later.

della hicks-wilson

Or maybe both at the same time? I believe you can, and most likely will, travel to new parts of yourself when you actually travel. Like on a plane. And self-discovery is an ongoing process. But, possibly, the writer just meant travel yourself first instead of trying to find yourself in new places. Like a destination addict that believes happiness lies somewhere else…

I dunno. What do you think?

I think it means find your own way so that when you get involved with others, your travels/paths are always clear.

You can do them both at the same time. I was talking to a guy a couple years younger than me about just going out and being by myself sometimes. He didn’t think that he could do it. I asked him how he got to know himself and what he is capable of doing and not doing. Just threw a seed in his ear that will hopefully blossom. But I say explore the world and yourself! Never get stuck in your comfort zone!

NEVER! How can you figure out who you are and what you don’t/do like if you don’t explore?

I like the idea of doing both at the same time. Exploring the world is a great way to learn more about yourself – your perspective, your fears, where you’re confident, your likes and dislikes, what you excel at, your weaknesses… I agree

I think the writer means, pretty much like you said, get clear with who you are so you can be clear on where you wish to go.
